You can get electrically heated bar mitts for motorcycles and bicycles. Does anyone know of heated bar mitts for trikes? My fingertips get VERY cold VERY easily. Heated gloves work okay but are very bulky.

Donn, during the winters in Eastern WA, Cascade Mountains, Selkirks & Rockies; we spent the better part of 17 years with frozen hands, feet & faces… We tried many things but embarrassingly enough what worked the best was simply universal heated handle grips for ATV’s or snowmobiles. A couple hours of time & less than $50 solves the problem. Here’s a link (below) to some that are really easy to install on the control bar – easier than the ATV grips… We run 2 sets (4 total) on the control bar because some of our students prefer holding the bar in different places from time to time. Remember to install a quick disconnect terminal proximal to the hanging bracket assy for attach/detach of wing. If you put barmits over these, just some light motorcycle gloves are more than adequate all the way to sub-zero temps. By the way, we prefer Northwing’s barmits because you get glove-to-bar contact vs Air Creation’s where another layer of cordura plus velcro overlapping is between your gloves & the bar… https://www.amazon.com/Iztoss-Universal-Motorcycle-Handlebar-Position/dp/B018K7NXWG/ref=sr_1_10_sspa/132-9159239-9705856?ie=UTF8&qid=1541020172&sr=8-10-spons&keywords=heated+quad+grips&psc=1

Thanks. I hadn’t heard about anything like this. Did a little searching and there are several options.

Do you put these over the foam sleeve on the control bar? The photo on Amazon shows what appear to be sleeves that go over the heating elements. Are those shrink wrap? If so I guess you leave the heaters on year-round. Several reviews are very negative, claiming they don’t work. If you have used several of these have they been pretty dependable. At the price shown ($10.99) it wouldn’t be a big deal if they don’t work well.
